My new role as Head of Urban Design at Dorsch in Abu Dhabi has left me with little time to update this section of the website. However, I’d like to highlight two key upcoming engagements this summer:
On July 9th, I will join the Landscape Middle East Award webinar as an invited panelist. I’ve also been appointed as a juror for the upcoming 2025 edition of the award, which will take place in Abu Dhabi this fall.
Later in the month, on July 22nd, I will travel to Cambridge to participate once again in the Gulf Research Meeting. Together with Steven Velegrinis, I will present our co-authored paper, "Trapped in Gridlock: Dubai’s Struggle with Traffic and the Future of Urban Life". Our talk offers a critical perspective on Dubai’s urban future in light of its recent infrastructural challenges.
